Hot rolled seamless pipe manufacturers usually adopt automatic continuous pipe rolling mills to produce hot rolled pipes, thus ensuring tube quality and size precision as well as production efficiency.
Production process
As a hot rolled pipe manufacturer, we at NEW SINDA produce our hot rolled seamless steel pipe in conformation with the following steps.
Firstly, we adopt solid tube blank as the raw material and then remove the defects on the tube blank surface. Secondly, cut the tube blank into desired length and then mark with the center at the pipe end which will be pierced. Thirdly, deliver the tube blank to the heating furnace and use piercing machine to create a hole along with the length direction of the tube blank. Thus, a half finished hot rolled pipe is achieved, which is technically called tubular billet or hollow billet. Finally, roll the tubular billet using an automatic plug mill, uniform the wall thickness of semi-finished hot rolled seamless steel pipes, and fix the diameter of the seamless tube using a sizing mill. Thus, all steps are finished and desired hot rolled pipes are produced.
The whole production process of hot rolled tubes can also be detailed as:
Hot rolling → heating → piercing → three roller helical rolling, tandem rolling or extrusion → tube knockout → sizing or tube diameter reduction → cooling → semi-finished hot rolled seamless pipe → straightening → water pressure test → labeling → warehousing.
Classifications
Hot rolled seamless steel tubes can be classified into the common steel pipe, low and medium pressure boiler seamless steel tube, high pressure boiler seamless pipe, stainless steel hot rolled pipe, and more.
Advantages
Due to our adoption of hot rolling process, the original casting structure of the steel slab for making hot rolled pipe is destroyed. This means that the crystalline grains of steel material are refined, and the defects of the microstructure of steel slab are eliminated, which results in improved mechanical performance and denser microstructure of steel materials along the rolling direction.
Hence, our hot rolled seamless steel pipe features good mechanical property and superior intensity.
To provide convenience for customers who like to purchase our hot rolled pipes, we now offer the following technical parameter form.

Introduction of the production technique
Hot rolling is an ideal metalworking process for producing hot rolled pipes, and it occurs at a high temperature that above the recrystallization temperature. The work pieces usually have a smaller deformation resistance at high temperatures. Thus, they can be deformed to a large extend.
Take steel plate rolling as an example. The thickness of continuous casting slab, the material for making steel plates, is approx. 230mm. However, through rough rolling and finish rolling, the thickness can be reduced to 1-20mm. Due to the small flakiness ratio of steel plates, there is a low requirement on the plate dimensional accuracy. But the crown control is still necessary during steel plate rolling process.
Through precise control of the rolling temperature during different rolling stages is an ideal way to control the workpiece structure. For instance, by controlling the temperature during initial rolling stage, finish rolling stage and curling stage, we are able to precisely control the microstructure and mechanical structure of our seamless steel pipes.
As a China based hot rolled pipe manufacturer and provider with over a decade of production experience, we at NEW SINDA produce our seamless steel pipes in conformation with ISO9001:2000 standard. Now, our seamless steel tubes and spiral steel pipes are CE certified and are widely used in India, Dubai, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Kenya, Korea, Canada, Italy, and America, to name a few.
If you have any need on steel pipes, whether that is hot rolled pipe, cold drawn pipe, hot expanded pipe, or spiral pipe, please don't hesitate to let us know.
